Hey guys..
Im building a box 2moro for a 12" Holees and i have been guessing the speaker displacement....

What i have done it looked in the manual for my XTR PRO'z which tell me the Speaker displacement is 0.091
which doesn't seem right but anyways to the eye the Holees looks twice the size so i have guessed a
displacement of 0.18 cubic feet.

i have had a suggestion that it could be roughly 0.6 cubez, But.....

Does anyone happen to know the actual displacement?

Well looking online from a better angle at the sub as the image in the manual is of the 10", it does tapper in a fair bit more at the magnet than i first thought. So taking into a account the basket which is .2cuft (because thats the displacement of the sub zero which is the same sub without the extra triple stacked magnet on the base) Then the extra magnet would be .1cuft roughly, so it would be more like .3cuft displacement.

So maybe your XTR pro is .09 after all. But i'd think it would be closer to like .15

Now that it's already tomorrow today, it might be too late. But i would'nt doubt it's .6cuft, the basket and motor is massive.

If it is'nt, then for either SPL or lows it can't hurt to have a little extra airspace.

i found a speaker displacement calculator in the internetz somewhere, cant remember the sight now, but i was able to measure up the sub today and
use the speaker displacement calc to work out it is 0.26 cubic feet.

personally would have gone with a tonne more port, as the holees can happily flow it, but all in all it looks good!!

is that a 50mm baffle i see...? yum...

it is a 50mm baffle Steve :) and one thing i figured out while building this box is.... using a router to cut though the full 50mm is being greedy LOL
Should have cut the holes first and then glued the baffles together :P other than that the box came together good.

i built it at 4 cubez after displacement... (3.99 to be exact) and the port is tuned to 42.5hz for a slightly SPL orientated application :)

Did I do well??? :P
