I use Fast Grip/Kwik Grip (available from Bunnings) for all my trimming, it does stink but it sure holds well and has no issue with the temperatures reached in a car.

though I am sure others have other suggestions

Not Sika, I found it to be too thin and soaked through the fabric too easily, but as stated Kwik Grip seems to work well I use the Bear brand stuff as it can be had a bit cheaper and seems to work just as well.

Kwik grip works, but 3M 76 / 77 spray adhesive is much quicker, less smelly, and is a specialised high temperature adhesive with very high tack and a fierce bond. It's regarded as 'the standard' in the industry for trim work like this.

One of those things that once you get the hang of it there's no going back - it works that well!

www.daleys.com.au is one place - blackwoods hardware is another :)

And yes, I promise, it works great. It's nothing like typical spray can adhesive!

Kwik Grip Contact Adhesive FTW!

Spray both contact sides, leave it dry for a minute or two (touch dry) and stick together... it ain't going ANYWHERE!!

TBH I loathe the Selly's Kwik Grip. I use Permatex (Orange can, available at Autobarn) otherwise 3M 76/77 same as Big Valven.

I used Kwik Grip to stick the material to my subwoofer box. It worked great, but yeah it did stink for awhile!!
