I need a 10" subwoofer with
  • a powerhandling of around 1000RMS.
  • sensitivity above dB
  • final impedance of 2ohms
Does anyone know a brand of a sub that has all these qualities that I could get in Australia?

(above 90dB)

IDMAX10-d4 spec says almost 95dB efficiency and 1000W RMS power handling, and it's made in America.

that's kinda been my thoughts too... i would never really think of an Idmax or Morel Ultimo 10" as "beefy" damn good woofers without a doubt, and something that would no doubt work in your t-line... but beefy...?

to me beefy is more like...

hahahaha...

but back on topic, have you had any luck with woofers yet...? keen for some updates...!

IDMAX would be my choice. Great sounding woofer and re-conable should you damage it

Nope. I have 1 Type S 10 in 2.2cube tuned to 32hz and I feed it 1k all day. Remember though it's highly unlikely that it ever see's the full 1k on music.

*goes and buys a second 1200.1 for my type-r's*

Also what about something like a Sundown SA10? I know the 15s can handle in excess of double the 600rms rated and thats on daily.

Yeah I spoke to Jacob at sundown when I was going to do my pounder project and he said daily the sa line will happily take 1000rms, but for reliability he didn't recommend going any higher

JL 10w7 will lap up the 1000WRMS. It's beefy and has a pretty high sensitivity. Just a thought.

PS yeah I'm a little bit of a JL fan boy, their woofers just sound so good and are very efficient, too.

They are pretty inefficient and only take 750W RMS, I have one in my car.
