Hi, looking to get a little help identifying the car alarm in my HSV SVLE VN Commy. As the pictures show, the remote I got with it is taped together, so I would love to get a replacement remote for it, but the problem is, I have no idea what system it is, where to get a remote that works.... if it's rolling code or not... bit lost, clearly.
I know it is at least an alarm system, and unlocks the doors when the button is pressed, and I have been informed that it is also the immobilizer. Previous owner thinks it was installed as a dealer option on original purchase, which makes it a 1989ish model.... but I don't know if there is any truth to that. I have also been given a barrage of other hints from friends that think they know everything, about what is a part of the system and not. I'll try and explain the photos as best I can using this info.
*Alarm box -this bit looks like a speaker, but has a key slot shielded by a dustcover. I have the key for this - it disables the alarm.
*Remote - This is my current remote. It is falling to bits, and is no longer classy enough for my HSV. /snobs nose
*Alarm card (Back and front) - this card came with, might help in identifying something about the system. I blacked out the numbers on the image cos I'm paranoid like that. Plus if my friends find this post, they'd be the types to use the info and take the car for a joyride. The jerks.
*Starter - I have been told this is the starter relay for the car. This matters because....
*Immobilizer.... apparently - This little Bosch box is attached to the back of it. I have had someone insist, swear to the ends of the earth this is an immobilizer. I refuse to believe this, but include it just in case it's important.
*Under dash - Under the dash, right where my knee can keep bumping it, is this little thingy that looks to me like a hands-free speaker. Except I don't have hands-free, and my friends tell me this is also to do with the immobilizer. I think I heard it chirp once, but that may be me. It has a cable that runs towards the engine so it must do something.
*VN engine alarm locations - this shows where the alarm box and "immobilizer" are in the engine bay. For what it's worth.
*HSV plate - I just like showing off that I have a HSV. Interesting to note, this car was built on my older brother's birthday. This fact ticks him off.

So, I am hoping Someone might recognize the system and be able to give me some info on it, where I can get compatible remotes for it, or at least if it has a rolling code - I can get a remote if it's not. If it rolls, apparently I'm in the creek without a paddle.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out in this, I really appreciate it.

Honestly the best thing you can do, is have it removed and new one put in its place. That way you don't have relays and glass sensors/proximity sensors mounted quite visably. The new generation alarms are far more advanced, given that the alarm is at least 20 years old its probably going to start causing you issues. Also support for it might not be that easy.

But, yes its a Dynamco alarm.
