what subs recommend for sealed? put them in right sealed box, double that size for the ported section. and tune around 40hz or bit higher. should do fine daily lol

Whats are you chasing? Numbers or audible loud or lows??? What subs are you using? What amp are you using? All this can come into play when designing a good box... Don't be scared to give it a go yourself, it's the best way to learn tbh...

I'm told with 4th orders build your sealed section to reccomended specs for those subs, then build the front section 2.75 times the size of the rear and port it at roughly 40hz for daily.

the subs he has are suited for ported boxes.
He needs a nice big box with a good size port :)

I know a rear firing 6th order series box works well in a VR/VS wagon. Used an Option 1502 with 2 Option Pro series. Rear facing ported box was 136 on music, 6th order was 139.9 on music, with heaps more flex.

OK, but we're not talking about that. We're talking about his available dimensions. And damned if the port on that box is too big.

you'll find the port flows nicely, the L bend slows port velocity somewhat, so slighly higher port area than "standard" (20sq inch per cf compared to a "recommended" 16sq in) works fine, given the original request for a loud enclosure both on the meter and musically, it works quite well... loading is still quite nice as well given the amount of port, which is without a doubt quite large...
