need high vocal fronts

hey guys after some high vocal fronts, got two 6x9s Just behind my head in my ute. So need some highs to keep with the load of mid's they got.


Around $300 will do!

Anything i can pump 100+ RMS would be good too :D

Btw, speakers don't produce 'power', they produce 'volume'. So you shouldn't refer to them producing 'watts', but decibels. :good:

What ute? What size are the factory front speakers?

You may have read it in the forums here, but it's usually best to focus on the front speakers, and fit the best you can afford. This is because - say with live music at a concert - the music is 'infront of your ears', and not behind. So, for lifelike sound, the fronts are most important.

Arc audio and Focal are two brands that come to mind if you want extra high end to match the mids. Arc do produce splits (i forgot the model number) at about $299, focal 165A1 are $30 more.

A really good pair of 6.5 inch component speakers will do highs mids and lows. Do yourself a favour and get a real sub instead of trying to get decent subbass out of those 6x9s

I agree, get some nice splits in the front, maybe some sound deadening, then turn the 6x9s down so they're not as annoying anymore.
