Could be the alt sensing no draw so shutting off, or does it do it with the volume up to?

the only time i get voltage drop is when its just about full tilt. but then again i'm only running 1 x D34.
But dont see much change from everyday driving.

na it happens all the time, like some days it will sit at 14.4v on other days it will sit at like 13.3v (sit meaning just driving with no music on). regardless of what the voltage is like on the day i still get at least 2v of drop at full tilt.. i have a volt meter connected at the power and grounds on the amp so these readings im getting at the amp.. might get the multimeter and check if the voltage at the alt differs from what im seeing at the amp.. although i think the changes in voltage from day to day must be an alternator problem so will probably go get it tested.. Just hoping that with an extra run of 0 awg i can more or less eliminate any voltage drop when playing.

Sounds like it could be the alt.
just curious what volt does it say with the engine off, is that consistent or up n down too ?

Engine off it sits at about 12.6-12.8v so that's all good, gonna re-check everything with a multimeter to make sure my wirings all good, if that's all good il head to the auto elec and get it tested
