Yes, more cone area would be better, however like we have already stated keep it simple and just use some 6 Inch Coaxils to drop straight in. If you wanna do some custom fabrication to get anything larger to fit by all means but for rear fill its pointless.

I'm worried about buying speakers this cheap, are they really going to be much better than the standards? I was willing to spend about $200 but won't if it's a waste but will if i will get a better result..

Go in and have a listen for yourself. If you want to do it properly you will barely be hearing the rears, if at all, if you want to spend $200 to please people in the back seat do it, I spent $250 on rear speakers and only spent half that on fronts when I first got into audio and to this day do I regret it.

TBH there is only so many times we can repeat ourselves, so now its your choice to listen to our advice or to go down your on road.

Ye i get it but i've had foot surgery on both feet so i can't go anywhere at the moment, and we only have autobarn or supercheap auto out here so the range & staff knowledge is very limited. I did take the advice and went to purchase them and they had jumped back up to full price so i'll prob go down the road here and see if they have them or similar. Thanks fr the help.

You're over-thinking all this ;) If you want the rears to stop distorting, fade them out a bit, if you want better rears, buy some reasonably cheap 6" coaxials and install them.

^^^^^ What he said.

Only you will be able to decide what suits your listening tastes, and as part of that decision making process, take your budget into account.
You cannot be told (regardless of what some people may say after looking at charts etc) what a speaker will sound like, until YOU hear it.

If there is no rush to get these speakers (and I'm guessing after the foot surgery, you're not driving, either), wait until you're mobile and get around to as many dealers as you can.
Take some familiar CD's or an iPod (if that's what you use mainly) and listen to your music.
Don't rely totally on the overall sound from a demo-board.. use it only to compare the sound of the speakers under test.
Ask if any of the staff are using the speakers you like, and can you listen to them in their car.
If none of the staff are using the brands they sell, ask them why and what they use.. and ask to listen to their car. Otherwise find another dealer..

HTH :)
