Hi anyone care to recommend an Installer in Newcastle?

If it's a place in Jesmond, don't worry.

Cheers.

Audio Indulgence at East Maitland is the only place in Newcastle I'd trust with my car, haven't been to Andrews car radio but I've never heard anything bad, although that might be the one in Jesmond you're talking about.

I have heard Audio Indulgence is pretty good as well, their Golf looks pretty nuts. I tried to convince my Brother in law to got to Audio Indulgence but he went for a slightly cheaper HU at a different shop and the whole install was crap with trim pieces not put back in properly and one screw and some double sided tape was used to hold the reversing camera in place. The salesman at Audio Indulgence seemed very knowledgable without seeming cocky I'll buy from them next time.

A friend of mine bought an ex demo sub from another shop in Newcastle and when I inspected the sub I saw the spider was coming adrift, we took it back explaining what was wrong and the salesperson asked which bit was the spider, hmmm.......

I did speak to an Installer once about an install in a VW GOLF, i mentioned to the installer about taking off the door skin (outer) on the Golf for the sound deadening.

He said no he would do it the old fashioned way, explained it is very easy and the resulting job is like chalk and cheese, was not keen.

So that turned me off as he was not confident in his ability, hence neither was I.

Would you have done the same?

"old fashioned way" what the ??!!
I did hear the place at Jesmond tried to sell someone 'competition remote turn on wire" LOL
I am sure it makes a difference for the millivolts travelling down the wire.

I have heard a store in Necastle had to relace a persons R34 as their wiring was supposedly the reason it caught fire.

I've heard it at full song, it's not a bad specimen.

The owner is pretty damn switched on, I'm pretty sure they had one of Newcastles loudest cars many moons ago running an old Corolla since then they seem to left SPL all together.
I have bought a couple of things from them and they were great to deal with when a warranty issue arose but I have no idea how good their installs are, see if they have a Facebook page??

I have had bad experiences with Mr and Mrs Brown at Nova and wouldn't go there personally.
They were very short when asked questions, reluctant to discuss anything and generally felt like i was keeping them from something.
When asked about local car audio competitions Mr Brown said he wasn't interested in doing anything as they dont bring him business.

Decide for yourselves but definately bottom of my list.
