You don't have to have it exact every time. Its just ideal if you can get cabin temp close to the same temp (what ever that is) everytime you tune. Underground car park is good and the use your A/C to get to something realistic like 21'c.
Reason being is sound travels different in different temperatures. Your car is black and even though you had the A/C on before the juges arrive its still changing through out the testing. Hence to try an establish some stability for you, one of the things we can control a certain amount, is cabin temp.

Yeah being out of the weather is more an element of the fact I live in a block of town houses and don't really have space to park my car and work around it. Yes I have a carport but the way the rain hits us it's less then ideal for having the boot open.

I'm planning to put in for some time off sometime between Round 2 & 3 so maybe I'll get some time to fit some serious work in then.
