i have already decided to dynamat the doors and seal up the service holes.
i have an old set of boston rally RC620's installed at the moment and i dont want to change speakers if i dont have to. i like how they sound.
the manual that came with the speakers is very vague. it states reccomended amplifier power is 20-275watts. it doesnt mention peak or rms figures.
at the moment they are running at 75 wrms off an eclipse EA4000 (2 channels used) but i have the option of bridging the amp down to 2 channels (from 4)
and give the speakers 150wrms a side..
do you guys think 150wrms is too much? would it increase my midbass? i also dont want to decrease the life of the speakers.
thanks for any thoughts.

Sealing over the service holes will be a good upgrade.
Also, what is the highpass filter set at? The lower the setting (eg: 50Hz instead of 100Hz), the more bass they will receive; you could even feed them a 'fullrange' signal. However, it's a compromise; the more bass, the quicker the woofers will reach max cone excursion, so this limits the volume before they start to distort.

But firstly see what the results are like with sound deadening and sealing the service holes. If doesn't help enough, then try raising the LP setting for the sub; you could have it as high as say 120Hz region, which means it covers some of the lower midbass, and may provide the added punch you're chasing.
Once the installation is optimised, it's then all about experimenting with the tuning.
