DEX-P99RS Auto EQ?

Got around to installing the P99RS today and went through the process of the Autotune. This was fine when I worked out I needed to drop the 'hi' channel.
I was planning to roughly back to back test it against the CD7200 by retaining all settings bar the HU. This didn't partulalry work trying to transfer my PEQ from the 7200 to graphic on the P99RS. Coupled with the fact I had to run the Auto Eq from what I could see to be able to adjust the TA etc.
Now the Auto Eq wasn't too bad, it picked some fairly interesting crossover points, a long way from where I had them set. Running the 8inch MB to 1600hz for example I found a little strange, but it sounded okay after it had done it's thing and I was very interested to see how it adjusted the EQ, but I can't find a way to access the auto eq settings. It's either on or off.
Does anyone know of a work around to be able to see what the P99RS decided was a good response curve? Seems a shame to have to start from scratch with my own EQ when it's already a reasonable starting point.

And yes, the Auto Tune always ends up with 'unconventional' crossover points, often HP'ing tweeters around 6.5-8.0kHz, and running midwoofers up pretty high.

I guess I can dig out the RTA and test a flat v's Auto EQ and get a feel for what the difference is.
You can set it to keep your X/over and TA settings, which I tried also and was happier with the ful Auto tune results. I found the Auto Tune lacked focus and definition.
I was hoping to be able to see whether the 'difference' is due to the tune or the HU.

Best you can do is RTA / Impulse response before+ after and try to decipher the differences.

I had a tweak with the RTA and managed to get somewhere near the autotune EQ as an overall response. What I don't have was L-R variances, but I would probably tweak these anyways, it was just going to save some time with tweaking. If I get some time later in the week I might spend some time to match L-R a bit better.
I'm aso pretty sure with the auto EQ on, you can adjust the settings with one of the memory presets. Took me a few mins to work out why the reponse wasn't making much sense, until I realised that it you don't turn the auto EQ off, you'll be adding/subtracting to these values. So although you can't 'see' the settings you can work with them.
I re-did the autotune and must admit I was pretty impressed with the TA settings that it generated this time around, they were fairly close to actual distances, which means it is using impulse response to calculate the figures. It definitely benifited from tweaking however.

You don't have to run the auto EQ to be able to set the T/A ... contarary to what was stated in the review of the P99 on here last year.
I've never run the auto EQ on mine and I was able set the T/A as normal.

One other way of comparing the HU's would be to set the 7200 back to "flat" EQ and have a good listen like that before swapping it for the P99 and compare it with a flat EQ as well.
That way you are comparing just the HU's without any "tune" applied.

I probably should have compared flat to flat on the HU at least, but TBH I think I would have found it hard to ignore the deficits created by putting the 7200 back to flat over the previous tune (contradication I know)
I'm fairly confident that there has been a noticeable change in clarity, more than the tune alone since the change, In another 2-years of tweaking I might be happy with how it sounds
