As always Jess is the woman to beat, setting the standard in Show class, and doing damn well in SQ too.
I entered my new daily driver, with bog stock 15 year old factory stereo - damn it was hard to get the judging material on cassette.
We had some new faces, all the regulars, and some old friends from Sydney coming down, and getting shown that you can't rock up to Canberra with an unfinished system, you'll get owned.
Thanks to the judges; Pat, James, Chris, myself, and now Warren (while he's always worked second show judge, he's now in the - literally - hot seat) for working in what was a surprisingly hot day - despite what the mercury said.
The surprise of the day for me (judging Expert) was BDL's Peugot, filled good gear and potential, and was always good, but not great. Today it stepped up to great. Watch out James. Also Jess and Richard, stepping up into Advanced from Intermediate last year, and holding their own.
Well done and thanks to all our competitors, as you can see from the points line up, any point you can get is valuable, it's tight up the top, and there's no breathing space anywhere in the classes.
Thanks to Ed (Autotech) for opening up for us, providing some shade, and running some cars up on the dyno, the winner there a green VL Turbo doing ~360rwkw.
