Hi everyone,
I've just signed up and thought I would say hi. I've always liked car stereo systems, and I thought I'd have a look around this site and learn some stuff.

there are a few of us that are interested in SQ.....but the interest has dropped off now days...

If we can get some interest id be happy to have a chat with a few shops, see if they wanna run a test and tune day.

wrong thread to discuss this i know, but i agree... i will start something in the WA section.

But other than that... Welcome mate! you will have a blast and learn lots and hopefully buy some cool, well looked after cheap stuff

As ive said numerous times in the WA Section, you need to get the social side of things going first. No point holding comps if there is no members to turn up. It would be good to see it where it use to be couple of years ago.

welcome to MEA, I am from perth- joondalup to be precise and i would go to a test and tune day to actually learn something other then trying to do it myself and failing half the time.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for all the welcomes. I'm SoR, Hammond Park to be exact.
I seem to be having big dramas with my stereo. The right side speakers seem to not work, and when I turn the car on it sometimes makes a pop and crackle noise.
You guys recommend anyone to get it looked at?

Alberts cannington speak to pete, it sounds like you might have a short in the speaker cable or the terminals are touching metal.

Car booked in for thursday. I can hardly wait to hear my stereo crankin again!

I met Pete, he's a nice guy to talk to. Seemed to really know his stuff too. Only took 45 minutes for the stereo to get fixed too. I wish it was Pete that did the job though, as one of my back seat clips was broken, and the door trim was not put back on properly. Other than that minor hiccup, it was a job well done. Turns out the RCA cable was damaged. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm glad it's all fixed.
