Im SOR, might be able to see if a store want to opens on a sunday for a few hours, have a sizzle, and the chance for a few guys to have a chat?

I wouldn't get too excited guys... this system's gonna be nothing crazy, just something to listen to in the daily. But I'll throw it at a comp if we get the chance

What is the best way to do this guys? We have something happening, and a small team of us from VIC are coming to WA to kick it off in June.
I want you all involved however but need to really deal with just one of you to coordinate and work with the retailers we have involved up there.

Can you decide amongst yourselves who the best person for that would be (as I'm getting contacted by different people on here and Facebook).

NOR location, and very keen on this happening, im more SQ but would have a crack at SPL to see how capable my is system is at making noise for fun, plus i am a beginner at car audio and most my gear is average, but i try my hardest with installation and doing things right. So it would be great for us beginners to be able to attend and enter events and comps, so we can learn and progess from comp to comp, but also i havnt heard any other SQ systems before so how am i really suppose to know what SQ really is if i cant listen to more experience systems, and so on, but there are so many benifits for beginners and the more experienced if we can get this going,

i also think the BBQ or meet and greet is a excellent idea as like said you'll be able to listen to what the people want in regards to events and compitetions, and get a idea what kind of systems are out there.

i will help as much as i can but im still on my learners because im lazy like that lol, so i dont know how much i will be able to help, but I wiil spread the word to the few people i know who are interested in car audio and try get them involved as well, and if im ever at a store i'll chat to them about it and try get them on board as well.

i really wanna see this happen so lets make people aware.

I'm keen also NOR my sq system will be finished by the end of the month, so some sq comps would be nice.

sounds like we have quite a bit of interest happening here. well maybe organize a bit of meeting or bbq or something and get to know each other and see if we can nominate a person or 2 to be in contact with marc and organize this.
now we need date and location
anyone have ideas. i dont think we can make it available for everyone but maybe just let us know dates you cant do it as well.

We've been looking at google earth and talking around, and Point Walter seems perfect, out of the way, no houses, nice size carpark, and possibly bbq and picnic tables. Otherwise Fraser point is where Running on empty have their meets, and might be a good option ..

Actually it wasn't on facebook, just talking around with friends and keeping an ear to the ground. Thinking 14th/15th of april, gives plenty of lead time for preps and word to get out, see who rocks up .. and repeat

i reckon the 14 of April at point Walter. We can suss it out this coming weekend make sure its all good. Maybe we can donate lke 2$ each for a bbq on the day. Callan has a multimeter, clampmeter and pocket o-scope if he is willing too bring them out we can clamp peoples amps too find out what power they're putting out and calculate box rise and check if the decks are clipping (the pocket scope only goes too 20v) i hear mike has termlab if he was willing too bring it out on the day we could get some Db readings as well. I can create relatively high quality Hz audio tracks for testing as well if this sounds like the go than express your interest.

Well we're thinking of running it as a fortnightly meet, might be a bit more comfy for some without the competition aspect .. so two weekends later wouldn't be out of the question ..

Well we checked out walter point on sat, around 2pm it was a little busy but heaps of areas all over. probably bringing a bbq with us and some foods.
Thinking around 2pm to 6pm ish, on saturday 14th, have a bbq, chat and see what everyone wants.
My car will be there, with the factory spec drop in boxes, on the sunday (15th) we'll be stripping everything out and rebuilding as a wall.
We're hoping to follow this up with another meet on Saturday 28th if all goes well.
Should I be making a new topic in WA forum?
Meanwhile start getting the word out!

Just got my sub amp today, might have it installed by then, depends how busy on the Easter weekend.
