Hey all

Just setting up a bit of a light set up and what not in the tub of my ute and was wondering if how much stuff i can put on the one 12v cable.
Plans are i have 12v sitting on a toggle switch at the moment, just ran a cable off of the other side of the switch to the back of my ute.
have a box with some stencils cut out and just putting 3 diffused LED'S behind each of them ( so 6 LED's in total ) to light them up.
Also putting 2 little 12v strobes in the aswell and will just loop off of the same cable.
Through a switch to isolate power to the ute tub.

will this be a killer on my battery or what?

Cheer lads

LEDs have very little current draw so you should be safe (fuse the cable though) - but when you start putting neons, inverters and other stuff all on one wire you should use a relay - using a relay means you can use a smaller switch too if that's an issue. Where is the toggle switch getting power from - an existing circuit or straight from the battery? Use a grommet where the wire goes through panels into the tub also...
