Are your Usher's on steroids??? IIRC the Usher 8945A has between 5mm-6mm of Xmax, not 8.7mm!

Parts Express' info seems to be out of date. I'd trust the PDF on Ushers site since it's more comprehensive and lists "8945AW507" rather than "8945AW044" - newer revision maybe?. I'd believe 8.7mm of xmax, they hit my door trim if i turn them up all the way lol.

or you just stop being soft and get a real midbass :P
my CSS Trio8 have 14mm xmax and 213cm^2 of cone area = 2982 ;)

Haha, the Morel Ultimo 8's also look perfect for a door if anyone wants to try :P

Possible that there is a new revision, but an increase from 6mm to 8.7mm xmax is no small feat - you'd think it would require some major motor changes...and looks the same from here! Also Zaph tested them at 6mm as well, which is consistent with the initial data sheet. That said if there WAS an update, Zaph probably tested the old version.

I bought mine not long ago, so I hope 8.7mm is correct!

Spent tonight fitting the Usher's very very tight fit, had to cut the trim a abit but nothing noticeable so still looks stock standard.

So far loving them, very nice tight midbass plays down to 63hz no dramas and will probably cross them abit lower for MEASQ Purposes. Still got to do some tuning but so far very very happy.
