idmax is a great choice for a sealed box applications.

i love the way that the idmax sounds its very addictive.

the RF T1 is also a great choice...however i would still choose a idmax over the RF.

i have yet to hear a utopia in car audio applications only high end home audio units and all of those subs were in ported boxes. Pulse-R has the only focal i have heard in car and that was a Kevlar series sub (which was designed for sealed box applications tought to say which i would prefer either both idmax and the K series focal are great subs).

Marty has the Utopia 33wx sub in his car and it is a very good sub for SQ. At $1499 it's a bit steep hence why I went with the Ultimo otherwise it would be a hard decision.

I prefer the Focal over IDMax.

But that may be a difference of install - I've never heard both in the same car, same install.
