With round 5 being in Traralgon (1.5-2 hrs east of Melb) Some competitors may require accomodation. I'm more than willing to assist.

There are a couple good options:

Comfort Inn, Traralgon is directly accross the road from Autobarn and is easy and convenient and have fairly competitive rates varying between $109 for a standard room to $160 for a Family

For that "special" weekend away there is Montfort Manor, a 4.5 star bed and breakfast, only 4km away.

I may be able to arrange discounted rates depending on how many people wish to stay and whether its one or two nights.

Edit: according to the advertising literature and MEASQ facebook page, the comp starts at 4pm so it might be an idea to travel up in the morning and stay the night of the event, head back on Sunday

I just booked a room at the Comfort Inn for the Friday and Saturday nights..

Talking to Geoff (new owner) at reception, if we can book a few rooms we may be entitled to a corporate rate.
When booking, mention MEA (or Mobile Electronics Australia) to help ensure the possibility of the discounted rate happening.

Marc, what time does the competition start/expected to end?
I think this might dictate for a few people, whether they want/require accommodation or not.

IMO, the best times would be to try and start around 2-2:30pm (registrations close at 1:45pm) so that we can be done by 8pm. This should give most people enough time to drive home at a reasonable hour if they want to.
But this will of course be dictated by the host venue and their neighbouring businesses.

Indeed, I would like to know, its a 4hr drive for me. It would be too late on the Friday night, but perhaps stay the Sat night.
