Righto guys,
Since you lot are about as useful as a bunch of grave robbers in a crematorium I’ve decided to suggest a time date and a couple of possible venues to go go-karting.
Now I’m not doing this because I like you lot – the reality is I think you’re a bunch of queers. But I like to go go-karting and you lot are as good of a bunch as any to go with – plus being that most of you have vaginas I shouldn’t have too much issue kicking your arses.

DATE IS LOCKED IN - SUNDAY 15 July 2012 @ 10:00 AM at LeMans Dandenong!

LeMans prices (arrive and drive)
1 x 10 minutes - $32
2 x 10 minutes - $57
3 x 10 minutes - $75 (includes 12 months membership which gives cheaper prices in future)
4 x 10 minutes - $90 (includes 12 months membership which gives cheaper prices in future)
I'm not looking into group packages - past experiance tells me you lot couldn't commit

Personally I’m willing to spend <$60 so thats 20 minutes at lemans. I think any more than that and its getting a bit too exy especially for couples and if you add in food & drinks etc on top of that.

At LeMans we can have a BBQ and they also have laser tag and a few other activities as well as a kid friendly track and simulators

Tracks open at 10AM so a 10AM start would get us in before “crowds” - also suits if we end up doing a "race" (read futher in the thread for details)

yup!! i'll definitely confirm for myself!! possibly the Lady-Lunch as well depending on her work...

$60-ish per person works well for us, once i get home i'll check out both Le Mans and GKS closer and give my thoughts on which i'd rather, but either way doesn't over effect me, it's the karting we're there for!! (i do like the idea of faster karts tho, and outside wetness could add to the fun?)

Lemans in the rain is certainly fun - dori action everywhere Bring a change of clothes if it rains though, you will get very wet and dirty.

YUPYUPYYUP,,,, I'm in,,,,,, have raced at LeMans a couple of times at the new venue, ripper tracks, and decent karts too. Indoor tracks tend to suck the big one (IMO)although i havn't done GKS, so cant compare...

$10 per week between then and now. Two lees beers at the pub or taking lunch to work one day a week instead of buying

I'd definately be up for this. I reckon Le Mans would be the go over the other place, as outdoor karting is heaps more fun

If we get enough people we "might" be able to organise a "group race" - but I'm not making a booking! so it will depend on if we are able to "option up" to a group race rather than just an arrive and drive on the day.

if we can do it it would be a great option at LeMans:

Package 1 $62 p/p
10 Lap Qualifying Session
20 Lap Race
Lap time sheets issued
Trophy presentation for 1st, 2nd & 3rd
LeMans Memberships issued
Approx 1hr
BUT NOTE NO PROMISES WE WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS AS AN ARRIVE AND DRIVE!

If anyone wants to organise this feel free to take over the organisation of this...
You will need to organise gettign deposits in and you'll need to pay a deposit to LeMans
Balls in your court guys.

Otherwise we will just do an arrive and drive.

I like the race idea! a different trophy to go next to the winners bass battle trophie's when's the latest they would need deposits made, if anyone has asked?

Definitely interested - reckon if we lock it in before the start of July should be able to work out if there's enough for a race!

i say Lock in the date at very least, 15th works well for everyone so far and there have been no objections, so lock it in Eddie!!

i also like the idea of the proper race, if we can get enough interest and proper deposits (none of this "i'll fix you up later crap) then i'd say that would be the way to go... are there any minimum numbers required for a race...?

^^ if my memory serves me right, last time i did a group booking at Lemans they took a 2-person deposit, and the minimum number of people was 10.

I just got a call back from LeMans about my email

The race is a min of 10 people max of 23
Min deposit is 2 people at $62 each
The lady I talked to said prices should be going up after the financial year (july) so to keep the $62p/p we just need to make the booking before the last week of june if we decide to do the package
There is a BBQ also available free of charge that we will need to book for ourselves, bring your own food but we are not allowed to bring our own drinks as they are licensed (this includes non alcoholic drinks)

She said that the wait for "Arrive and Drive" can be a few hours depending on the amount of people already there, it's a very family orientated venue. So the best idea for a group of us is the package as we wont have to wait, we will have our time booked.


So we just need now a definite of 10 people

considering it's a 2 person deposit, elle and myself would be happy to put forward our payments as the deposit as long as there is enough interest (10x confirmed participants)

i think if we can get 10 of us to put our hands up for deposits then we should do it then we have a guarenteed minimum people coming, just make sure you get the day off work now because we cant have people saying they want their money back
