you can get a decent charger from around the $150 mark of ebay these days, nothing special but will do the job...

idealy for your batts i'd want something in excess of 10a minimum, my 2a charger struggled to even bring my big batt up to 13v so you want something with a fair bit of kick... i've been using an OzCharge 21a intellicharger for the last 2 years, and it has been by far the best addition to my setup, it will charge up all 6 of my Stinger SPV70's in a matter of 2 hours from nigh on dead flat, and i actually leave the corolla on a trickle charge at all times, might take it off charge for a couple of days every 2 weeks, but otherwise it just lives on charge and the batteries are in perfect condition, and and a float of 13.1v... however these retail at $299, DEFINITELY worth the money of you want to spend that much, but it's a big outlay../

As i showed you on facebook ^

I think for the price i will go with that as i can't afford the $300 outlay on a charger atm. I still need money for a fiberglass kit for the wheel arches.

Super cheap has a 2/8/16amp charger that hovers for around $100-120. Nothing special compared to ctek, but does the job.

i use one of those $130 supercheap chargers. There great for the price and if they break for some reason then you know you can take it back no problems there. THey also have a BOOST setting, which put's 15.2-15.5V into the battery for 3 hours then the charger cuts off to stop from wrecking the battery, But when i have the charger on 16amp the battery floats at 14.2V but sometimes drops to 13.5V . Just depends on the size of battery.

$900 for 2 Bonecrushers and 4 150ah batts.... couldn't say no.

And that charger does only 300ah i need double that as i don't want to have to charge 2 batts at a time each time i want to sit it on charge.

Do you need to charge them as a bank? is charging them in pairs or even individually not an option?

I charge my solar batteries individually when they get run down and then I connect them in parrallel and let the charger "maintain" them
Like Lunchy I disconnect them from the charge & one another for a few days to cool and settle/equalize internally then wack them back on charge again.

Also every few months I connect a 55w light to them for a couple of hours to really knock some charge out then back on with the charger.

I use wet lead acid batteries with maintenance caps so I check them with a hydrometer and add distilled water as required

you'll do a 600 AH bank with a 10a charger
No "affordable" battery charger will state that itll do 600AH its just not cricket. Most decent chargers will do it though just slowly and not from "flat"
if they are flat charge them individually then connect them in parrallel to maintain them

Yeh these are Valve Regulated Lead Acid Batterys are used as elevator back up power allot of the time im told.

And it isn't an option as i have such a tiny car there housed under the front of the box, i'd have to take the seats out and unbolt the front aluminium plate and slide all 4 batterys out together due to the negatives being right at the back of the batteries.

Overall it isn't really an option at all thus why i need one i can use to charge all of them at once. It's better than nothing i guess.

40Ah charger for $95 says its suitable for upto 800ah

Valve regulated just means they are maintenance free sealed lead acid.
