I have 3 to be wired up. What resistor do i need for each one.

It has 6V stamped on the side of it.

Ive looked online and managed to find some other similar switches that say the LED's are 15mA

Not sure how they are six volts, LED's like that are normally 2.1 - 2.5 volts forward voltage. The formula is input voltage - forward voltage / current. So if they are 6v then 13.8 - 6 / 0.015 = 520 ohms. I would err on the side of caution and assume they are 2.5v so would need a 750ohm. Just buy both and try the bigger one first. Only $0.40 for pack of 8 at Jaycar. Oh and make sure they are 1/4 watt

They could have two LEDs inside hooked up in series which would get around 6v.

Agreed with the above though, try the 750ohm first and measure the voltage across the LED terminals with a multimeter. If you get a reading around 5-6v then you are right. If its 2.5-3v then you can try a lower value resistor for a bit more brightness.

Jaycar and Altronics sell the same push button switches in a 12V version.

I bought one of those and wired the LED straight to my light circuit. Works like a charm!

cheers guys. I managed to get in touch with the seller and they recomended between a 300-1k resistor. Seems a bit too much of a variable there.

Will start high and work down. I dont want them bright, so will prob stay high.

I Have them in my car.
I Think when they were wired up, they required 2 relays per switch to make them go from Blue (turned off) to Red (turned on)

They are definitly worth it tho.

I much prefer the ones designed for PC's. 24V/50mA (LED 3-12V/20mA) and can get them in a momentary(hold) or latching(on/off) versions. Also in Silver.

Grab em from Performance-PCs pretty cheap.

Just for those who are interested :)

Look neat switches.

I'd go with 750 ohm
