hello all,

i have noticed that i do not have grub screws for my amps. i am wondering if ring or grub terminals would be best to use. i am thinking that is the only way.

not 100% what u mean but 1. you can buy amp terminal screws from ebay 2.if you have the screws as per picture just twist wire into a prong or Y shape insert and screw down under screw plate...
hope that helps

I'd use ring terminals, helps stop them pulling out if anything moves when it shouldnt

Insert-style connections are designed to work with a fork terminal, and nothing else:

I prefer to use fork terminals, mostly for ease of use, easy to disconnect (if you use rings you have to take the screw all the way out and that's one way of losing them) and not having to worry about frayed wires touching each other when just wrapping the wire into the amp terminals like I see a lot of guys doing.
You can of course get the Fork terminals in lot's of sizes, so you can use it for your 4g inputs too.

I'd say you would run more of a risk of a short using rings by having to remove and refit the screw.

When you think about it when the screw is just touching most of the time its not shielded by the plastic surround. So if it touches the chassis it will short.
