I think that your personal preference will heavily influence this issue - I like analogue stuff because it saves my settings and doesn't require a PHD to operate.
If you are a real fan of digital however, then these obviously aren't going to be a favourite for you, and you might be better off saving for the new audiocontrol range of fully digital gear.

and finally onto 2x Boston FS60 mids, vifa silk tweets, and boston ambient tweets
i think the eqt's would be pretty appropriate for this setup, but any comments are appreciated.

Have you already purchased the 3-way Xover?
If not you might want to look at the newer audiocontrol stuff as it is digital and incorporates both the 31band EQ and a 3way + sub Xover all in the one digital unit. You can also then add an in-car control unit if that is highly important to you.
All that said - for one of those units new I am pretty sure the RRP is around $1000 in which case the H701 is probably already looking much more promising!!!
As for $150-200 for each EQT, well that is almost a steal but don't tell your friend!!!

and nah, i wish the budget could be stretched.. if it could i would probably get a DQX with CCD. i wasnt planning on getting an eq until he sprung the opportunity for these onto me.
ta for the advice, with luck i will have the eq's in a few hours he if agrees to trade for one of my monoblocks.
