I got Morel Hybrid Oviaton 4 inch drivers with a MX22 crossover and MT23 tweet. The combo sounds sweet. Has more bass then you would think 4 inchers can produce but won't go very loud when they are producing nice bass. Got them bi amped (75w rms to each tweet and 75w rms to each woofer) and i got them set to not play anything below about 110hz. Over all im happy with mine considering the darmas i would of had putting 6 ers in the front. They weren't cheap though (RRP is about $700) so depends how much u wanna spend.

Arvus do a 3.5" mid (4" mounting) that is very good, +/- 2dB from 100Hz - 6kHz... full neodymium magnet with less than 1%THD at normal operation volume
Quite a bit more expensive than $99 tho
But they're the only 4" i know that actually has reasonable upper midbass

listening to 6x9's running of the HU mounted in the boot!
As for the Morel's, Ive no experience with the 4"s (which doesnt help much I admit) but a mate has pulse 6s in his car and they sound very very nice, so if they are anything like that you can go bananas.

would love to spend her hard earned cash on some hybrid 3 way setups, but i think spending more on speakers than the car may worry her a little, having a listen to the hertz 4's on tuesday, see if they can play some mid range.
