hey guys quick qn,
im interested in a direct swap pf my 6.5" utopia driver for a 7" from a forum member, if i go ahead with this will the slightly increased driver size detriment SQ in terms of vocals or will the diff be minimal in that regard but slight increase in midbass?? ideas appreciated

it should play lower... but thats about it. will you be re doing the door or simply getting what u have and making it a half inch bigger.... it shud sound better and if its a direct swap then why not?

should be ablre to make it a straight swap, should play a bit lower and a bit harder will sound almost the same tho.. good luck

thanks for the idea i trialled with 5.25" as well and they sound best as a three way set up :D
