Hey Everyone,

I'm looking into a Soarer to use as a SQ car. From what i've seen the only problem i have is to where to mount the subs (2 x DLS iridium 10s). I would dearly like to install them into the parcel tray in a MDF/fibreglass enclosure so i will still have a boot and the bass will be already in the cabin. B)

Now i know that Aussie has a heap of Soarers so does anybody have any ideas as the best way to go about this? Does anyone have any more pics of installs? I'll even get a custom fuel tank made up if i have to... so any ideas, no matter how big or small are appreciated. :D

I originally started the below thread, but i still don't really like any of the install pics.

Any help would be appreciated. :ninja:

Thanks

i sat in the cdt's distibuters car who had a soarer. He used the backseat to have two 10inch subs with a huge soundstream amp in the middle. Lots of fibreglass work went into that car.

Here is a soarer we did about a year ago.

Full X-Type system with 5.1 surround. It's won a few SQ trophies.

Looks good...

How did you vent the bass into the cabin? How was the staging with the midrange down beside the seats? Where was the tweeter located?

Behind the floating amp rack there is a large opening allowing bass to vent into the cab through the factory 8" subwoofer hole. Tweeters are located in the factory door positions. Staging was surprisingly hide and wide.
