Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

odd choice of sub price ranges.. i mean isnt the DLS Iridium and Magma more on par with an ID MAX than an IDQ?

Interesting.

If you go the MAGMA path you'd better build the box strong coz those baby's have a reputation of tearing them apart.

Also consider what amp you might be using to power it.

DLS Iridium and Ultimate Reference are dual 4ohm coils so if you go with 1 sub then you can have 2ohm load (or 8ohm i guess)
Magma are dual 3ohm so 6ohm or 1.5ohm load

The DLS Iridium is only $100 (retail) dearer than the UR and the Iridium is the one all the top SQ competitors are using so i'd probably go with it over the UR.

Interesting to note your comments on the IDQ. I have only heard the MAX in own set-up and in other well done installs and it sounded great.

the idq is a sweet sounding sub and IMO sounds better than tha max from all that i have heard. the max does go louder but the idq would be a 15 more than likely.

the Adire sub's interest me but i have not heard anyone talk about them for a while, and an 18in Maelstrom sounds like it would be fun :D

the amp i will get after i get the sub so that doesnt worry me

Whats taking care of your midbass duties? I think that if you go down the route of getting a sub that has a lot of presence (such as the IDMAX) you may think about tightening up your midbass up front.

I've heard all the Image Dynamics subs you have listed; I've been impressed. I've also heard the Shiva. Out of those three, I say go the IDQ15.

Andy Jones, IASCA Street X SQL is code for "I half ass everything." Basically you are saying you are not loud enough to do SPL, and have no idea what it takes to do Sound Quality. So you meet in the middle with a quiet system that sounds like ass. Good job at being mediocre.

I've heard both the IDQ15, to late man i sold it, it rocked, i've also heard the magma's, personally prefer the idq, magma still awesome though. The magma's are no longer available in oz but i know a store that has 2 left, and could get hold of a passive radiator
