hey all,

im running the following gear, installed in a datto 620 ute.
nakamichi CD400
audiocontrol 6xs
Clarion APX 400.4
morel HCW10
clarion SRS1625's.

on most of the tracks i listen to ( jack johnson, ben harper) it seems that the low end of sound stage is getting dragged back, because the HCW10 is behind my seat.
gains are set accordingly. HCW 10 has LP set at 80hz and the SRS1625's are HP'd approx 75hz. no adjustments on amp or headunit as 6xs is under control of it :)

what m question is, is there any way to bring the low end up forward so its not overpowering the front stage??

another q is has anyone auditioned a set of the alpine DLXF177 splits?? compared to a set of dynaudio system 240's??

thanks in advance,

greiggy

Only thing that seperates audio from all the other pursuits is this... Once you think you know everything in audio... You realise you know NOTHING. its a never ending challenge.

Try lowering the low pass a little more, maybe 65-70hz. That may help to bring it a little forward. Otherwise, turning down the gain a little may help too.

I have heard the new DLX and they are very impressive, unfortunately not compared them to Dyns yet though so can't comment :(

Put the sub 180 degrees out of phase.

Andy Jones, IASCA Street X SQL is code for "I half ass everything." Basically you are saying you are not loud enough to do SPL, and have no idea what it takes to do Sound Quality. So you meet in the middle with a quiet system that sounds like ass. Good job at being mediocre.
