If u have already tryed tweet's up high and wasnt happy with them why would u move them back up there

Assuming the MY06 doors are similar to the MY05, did you try the tweeters in the "stock" position, just in front of the door handle?

Being a bit lower than the dash, and depending on how you angle them, may make a difference.

Just my 2c.

If you want great factory speaker locations for soundstage a BMW E34 fitted with the premimum sound package has it.
Bass drivers in kick panels, mids in dash, tweeters inside 'A' pillars angled towards listeners.

I am in the process of replacing factory tweeters (mylar plastic) with some Vifa silk domes.

BMW E34/E32 have a 'small' tweeter pod, they also only have room for a 2.5inch mids in the dash, which is also situated slightly inward of where you'd want the mid for a wide stage I'd suggest.

They have a good starting point though :) and 8's will fit int he kicks;)
