DB Draging

It was really good to see quite a few competitors there on Sunday. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I've learnt to ignore certain people in question. I have to admit that there was no better moment than when Rob beat the red falcon by 0.1dB int he final of SS1-2 NW. How sweet that was. Highlight of my day.

competing, its not like barraking for a football team where you're
views are one-eyed, you'r all there for the same thing, to hit as loud
as possible!! to all the SA ppl on here, does anyone no of any sound
offs coming up??

And if their sponsored by Earthquake, its a disgusting lack of professionalism. I'm personally insulted as I used to represent Earthquake in a big way before moving to JBL/Monster Cable..
*shakes his head in disgust and goes for a smoke*

- The Venue
- Interested competitors
- Dual Termlab system
- Accomodation
All I need is $232 and a date
(I mean an event date, I'm married you know.)
Oh and someone to run the BBQ.

it out, even tho im aiming for sq more than anything, should still have
the power to crank out a decent number. was gonna install some old
school orion ntense dvc 12's but we worked out that they need a REALLY
big ported box (over 200 litres or 8 cubic foot) or sumthing stupid like
that so ive told my installer that i just want it loud!! running the sub(s)
off a kenwood excelon x811d, rated just over 900wrms at 2 ohm

Well if i can afford it ill pay for your airfare but stting here on my butt with no customers doesnt help pay the bills
Also ill provide the venue and the setup pay for all the electricity to stage the event, plus ill run the BBQ because we have one in the shop, and do the necessary preparations.

At Autosalon, i can't remember which one, he started talking to Tarja, and confirmed that the number was acheived with AC.Well when i pulled a 148.5 with a sinle 12" he did not come near me the whole day or said another word.
Also at Summernats this year he didn't go near tarja when she was doing pretty well, 144's, when her amp went into protect in the finals and failed to score, he was all over her like a rash. "You shouldn't have done this and you should have done that. The gear your running isn't good enough, how much did you pay for it, and was just bombarding her with questions. Trying to put across that i knew nothing, and that he was so much better then me. Tarja knew what went wrong, and wasn't really fazed with coming second. The E-audio is now being repaired, and she is now pulling 146's with 2 new amps.
There are also a few other incidents. Like when he didn't get his own way at Autosalon FB, he packed his car up, put it on the trailer, threatened to put a formal complaint in against Angelo, and took off.
He also has poor taste.
Summernats after the Boxing day Tsunami, he had a huge wooden sign leaning on his car that read "Warning Tsunami Zone".
Nearly every event that i have been to with him there, he has harassed either myself, Tarja or Larissa.
This guy is full of himself and a bad representation for eartquake and a competitor for the sport.

but yeah i had a word get back to me at dorans event on the weekend that the blue supra that my brother inlaw built, was built S.hit and designed S.hit and they were stupid building the car the way it was cause it did 140. now considering i didnt even build it. it still offended me greatly. becuase half the people there might have even heard the enclosure wasnt even sealed it was only screwed together and just been covered that week and hadnt had time to be sealed and even fixed. and finished properly. plus with only a 400CCA battery. yet they still came up to compete for the day even though knowing before hand the numbers it was going to do.
but on the other hand if it came out with high 140's im sure the rumour or the bagging wouldnt have happened. but this is the same sort of thing now he was a first timer to a sanctioned event and they werent to happy finding out what people said either.
but at the next dorans when it does manage decent numbers i will be the first to say oh i heard someone say this set-up was crap.
people who do this and put peoples systems down dont deserve to be in the sport i think if people wanna bag rag on peoples systems and set-ups ban em from events and see how quickly they change their attitudes.
another small thing that supra is nice as and roughly a $30,000 car with a pretty nice looking system in it, who ever did say the comment on the day. my reply is whats your car look like if they are from this site.

I remember that
Nicely done
And Emma... I wish it was me that said it now
Nah, good to see SA get some dB attention now..
As a warning to all that maybe reading this.. I suggest if your mouth ain't going to be helpful and giving sound advise on the day, keep it shut and just compete... let your subs do the noise making and not you!!
End of story!

i think any type of bagging someones system behind their back or even in front of them. offering advise yes but bagging them out i think its slack. plus bagging a set-up ultimately bites ya in the bum eventually when ya end up being shattered when their crappy set-up beats ya.

and approached me about buying some atomics.
after a longish conversation which basicaly entailed alot of crap.. i walked away disheartened to know that others that don't know alot about loud systems or how to build them will actually listen to him and take his advise.
even tho i did a 149.2 in a street class on 1 ohm. his sytem was still louder then mine even tho he hit a 141 or something like that....
i aint no rocket scientist but i just couldnt figure out how to do the calcs.
at any rate..
can't wait to get back into the lanes!
