SVC sounds no different to DVC - they just allow for different wiring configs - ie a SVC 4ohm is exactly that - but DVC (4+4ohm coils) can be wired to 8ohms or 2 (series or parallel...) ie DVC is more flexible

Well it allows you to configure your subs in a way that suits your amplifier best - like if it produces most power into 4 ohms you can buy a svc 4ohm - or 2 DVC (4+4) ohm subs.... etc etc

its not an efficiency thing, its a flexibility thing ie, a dual 2 ohm sub can be run at 1 ohm, and 4 ohm

svc is cheaper. the dvc just allows different configurations of ohms into your amp.

DVC allows two amps to be connected to the one sub aswell, this is good for high-ish end gear.

Also DVC gives u the flexibility of using 4 channel amp.

A dual 4ohm sub could allow you to run an old 4x50wrms into the one sub woofer. That would allow it to run 300wrms with the old amp
