Both will sound better than the factory speakers your probably upgrading from, and check the dollar difference, make your own mind up in the end.

I say go on what your ears think. Focal also make a 5" x 7" speaker(if i remember correctly) and are a very nice sounding speaker.
Project: Beasty Triumph 2500 PI mk2 (Long term Project)
Headunit: Clarion HXD2
Sub: Focal Utopia 33WX (Old school)
Splits: Focal Utopia Be Kit no 7
Amps: Arc Audio SE2150, Arc Audio SE2300
EQ: Arc Audio MEQ30
Cabling and Other: Stinger, Dynamat
Progess needed:1/2 Stereo Install, put in a Super charged V8 Stag engine

thanks, good advice, i am sure a visit to the local man is a good idea.
Regardless of name brands as you guys say, if it sounds good and has clear sound within the different ranges, then the speakers have good sound. If you are unaccustomed to judging sounds in general, how do you distinguish between say 3 or 4 speakers that seem to all have good sound?
Sorry if i am frustrating to speak to due to not being experts like you guys... i am just trying to gather as much info as i can before speaking to a salesman who will just try to sell you speakers regardless of what stock they have.....

Well personally if i think if its got a hint of harshness in the board, it will almost sound worse in the car.
