Type X with a 1000wrms@2ohms amp (wire the 2 voice coils up in series)

Not sure if someone has already picked this up, but it didn't appear so when i skimmed through.

if you want your amp to see a 2 Ohm load when your sub has dual 4 ohm coils (as in the case of the type x) then you will need to wire them in parallel not series. If you wire them in series you are going to be showing the amp an 8 ohm load.

Personally I think they are really good for SQ. Very tight clean bass, however im having a hard time trying to stop my lights from dimming... (Spoken to many experts). Another Optima Battery will fix it.

You wont be disappointed if you are after SQ. :)

Well, I just got back from Northfield. Auditioned the likes of Alpine, Focal, Dynaudio and Eclipse.

Focal were ok, bit too 'bright' for me, never really liked titanium dome tweeters.
Eclipse I spent 5 minutes on, moving right along...
Alpine, wow, nice sound. Not bad at all
Dynaudio. I now know what front splits I am getting. These things were mindblowing, I heard old songs in a way I had never heard them before. The Dyn240GT 's are the fronts for me. :clapping:

Apex'i, Bomex, Carbing, Clarion, Cusco, Defi, Dynaudio, HKS, Just Alloy Radiators, Royal Purple, Sard, Shift-I, Team Orange, Tom's, TRD, Tru Tech, Wilwood, Works Bell

Because the stickers aren't going on my car....
