i am interested in a dvd h/u so i can burn many a song in CD format on a DVD disc ,, but if i am buying a new h/u , i want it to be SQ top gun,,, do the alpine DVD h/u perform like the top CD alpine h/u for max SQ.............zion

alpine's best HUs are those with 'bass engine pro' tuning features (6-ch time correction, 5-band parametric EQ, full xover selection). of their 2 DIN-size (ie: non-screen ones) DVD HUs, only the more expensive DVA-9965 has this, which also happens to be the most expensive.

But to improve that, you can get the H701 and have HEAPS more flexibility when tied with the 9861 (or 9860 i think..). And thats half the price of the 9965!!

Yeah your right Matt, The 9861/9860 are both $899 and play DVD's. The 9861 is a better looking unit IMO and matched with a PXA-H701 would be a very nice combo.

Alternatively, a IVA-D310 or IVA-D900 will do the job for you.
