Again some intense custom work is required...
How handy are you with fibreglass?
alternatively you can get a hybrid 5 channel amp, such as the Memphis Belle MCD-1300
4x75WRMS of ClassA/B
and 1100WRMS @ 1 ohm on the 5th channel Class D

"Alpine conservatively states the frequency response to be 20Hz to 20kHz, but I measured it to be 5Hz to 32kHz at –1dB, very impressive for a Class D amplifier. In fact, the marketing guys at Alpine are not fond of the Class D moniker due its past limitations on frequency response and sound quality. This amplifier could pass for a really good A/B design, except that it is small and efficient."
Just for anyone who’s interested, the review could be biased but I like the sound of mine.
Slew rate of 7uV and damping of 80....
a SQ Amp would be rated at around 30-50 + UV Slew, and 300-600 + Damping.
the +/- 1db 20 to 20 is nice.. and 100db is nice too.
but only for small speakers, High volume high freqs could be a issue.
as well as midbass performance would be lacking.
Looks like they would make a fantastic Midrange Amplifier though.

class D amps shouldn't be measured in the same way as class A/B. hence why the stats seem way way low. they probably measured the class D's the same as class A/B for conformity
Also, chances are what I am talking about is absolute rubbish and that the reader shall derive his own conclusions from the above comments!

Yes I agree,
although the Slew Rate is measured no different,
it's damping factor that shouldn't be measured the same way,
however the reviewer mentioned a lack of midbass control, which indicates that the low Damping factor reading given was still relatively accurate.

true, but i always wonder if they are listening with their ears or with the stats. dont forget that the TacT millenium is often used as THE reference amp by alot of ppl and that is a full range class D amp aswell.
i think im just suspcious of 'reviews' that include new 'controversial' technology. is it really a lack of midbass or is it his head telling his ears its a lack of midbass??
i dont know, i haven't listened to them.

were trying to get three amps in there, ha to resort to one under the passenger seat, lucky it was a smallish amp...
the other two barely fit ontop of 4.5 cubes of box...
dont kid yourself, buy the pdx amps, or something similarly small...
i used to be skeptical about these amps, but when it comes down to either getting everytinhg in and sacrificing some sq, or not fitting everything at all, i would choose the pdx's..

Well said.
I used to have arguments with people who'd come into my shop debating which CD player to get, because one had 0.0004% distortion and the other 0.0007%.

never look at the spec's, listen for them with your ears.
Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.
