Simple question.
Will the Alpines F1 PXA - 900 processor work with the standard alpine HU like the IVA d310 or does it only work with the F1 Hu. And will it work with both the old and new F1 HU or just the opld one??

since the F#1 uses AiNet and optical, then no reason why not.
I think you'd have to use the H900's remote to program it, just the usual (Volume, sub level) would be done via AiNet.

if u can get a 900 then yes, a 310 will run it.

if its a 990, then no. only the F#1 HU will control it.

as above. what i'm unsure about is whether the D310E offers adjustments/control over the settings like it does over the PXA-H701. i'm thinking 'no', that it doesn't. so as Pulse-R mentioned, you'd still need to use the H900 remote (which is still the case if you use the F1 CDA-7990R HU).

the reason the series II is not compatible is because they changed from Ai-NET to IONBUS connection.

I'm pretty sure there was a firmware update from the 700 to the 701 to allow control from the DVD head units. Unless a similar update is for the 900, then as before.

i know of 1, and that took a fair bit of scrounging around for. (im talking new here, and not some e-bay jobbie either)

probably is. i decided i couldnt justify 3.5k on a processor alone.

Shiney, do u use a laptop to tune yours or the remote??
And how much would you guys pay for one that has been used for 5 months?
And it shouldnt matter what country it comes from? Only the HU's are region specific??
