not really because the gov are f#@kwitts and keeping stuffing me around.

i emailed the mob that run the markets and they said yeh fine fine fine no worries, we got into details like power points, how much space we would need dates etc and then they just stopped emailing me so about 3 days later i called up and talked to them and there they umed and erred and didnt seem to know what the f#ck was going on and said they would get back to me, a week and a half later i call up again and ask them if they've pulled their heads out yet and they say that they don't have the lisence for it when it isn't the market season.

so i tried to find out who i could talk to and they just gave me this general enquiries number, called there and they said they will get back to me, a week later absolutley nothing so i called again and they gave me another number and said that they would be able to help me out, supprise supprise they have no idea about anything. So this was about a weekago and i decided to just leave it till the wet season is over and it starts to cool down a bit in march hopefully. then the mindil beach mob should be able to sign off on it no worries.

also noticed that you were looking into a dd99 series, if so you might want to have a quick look at this.

no worries dave.

a horn enclosure improves the ability of of the speaker to couple with the air resulting in improved efficiency, some horns have efficiency of over 105dB with 1 watt of power. (compared to an average driver with an efficiency of under 90 dB 1 watt)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horn_speaker

some designs for horn boxs have the the rear chamber sealed. To get louder you can port this sealed chamber. So the front of the sub will be playing into a horn enclosure and the back will be playing into a ported enclosure. from all reports the results are interesting to say the least.

I have a pair of tens at home and really want to give a horn box a try, more specifically decwares wicked one.

done.

i'm now at the stage (having listend to it for a while) where i think that the SQ is not better than either my type x of 9115c but very close to on par with them. output however is still very decent for two sh!ty tens.

no worries mate, probably on the box building day, sooner if you want though?
