During my install on the weekend I damaged the side of the cone on one of my TN52 tweeter's. I was very disapointed with this, but then realised it was merely an excuse to upgrade. The unit still operates so I am in no real hurry to upgrade, but would like to get replacement's in the new year. So basically I am after a pair of tweeters up to around $500 that will fit beneath the trims on my VE SS. The TN52's were very forward with their sound, I was after something a little more laid back and relaxed so as to match up with the K2P's. The Midbass K2P driver's are very good and I am more than happy with their performance (particularly in the high mounting position in the VE's.

I am nowhere near any car audio shop (well 1700km to Perth anyway), and as usual, have to rely on other people's auditions and how they describe the sound of a driver.

I got a price back on some MD102's at $399. They seem like they fit the bill? Has anyone got any that they can write about?

Why not get the MD130 (maybe too big). I think it's just a little bit more than $500.

Scanspeak D2904/6000 is also a good candidate.
Physical size:
Outside diameter: 59.5mm
Cut out: 41mm
Depth: 29mm
Will that fit??

Cheer's for the idea's!

The MD130 doesn't appear on the Dyn website - is it still available? It may be too big anyway.

That Scanspeak model looks very interesting also, has anyone tried one? If its only 1 step down from the revelator's, then I'm sure it would sound fantastic!

I don't know anything about the Oz Matrix driver's but I'll look into it further Spyne.

And Morel are another one that I can look at also. Cheer's!

Ok well I have done a heap of online research and have decided to go with either the Morel Supremo Piccolo's or the MT23's. These are small enough to fit and are at the right price and are available.

Anyway, how much 'better' are the Piccolo's over the MT-23's?
Pulse-R// Have you had a chance to back to back these tweeter's, what are your thoughts?

I would love to go and audition a set, but I won't be down in Perth for quite a while.

The 'premos are supposed to be better down low. According to reviews the top end is much the same. I've never heard them back to back to confirm though.
