Looking to mount the sub in one of the following methods. 1. Buy a sub that comes in a box or put in a custom box and just put it in the boot. OR 2. Mount the sub into the walls of the boot and have it flushed facing towards the space of the boot. The boot will be carpeted as much as possible to cover all the metal bits. Which one of these gives a better sound/effect? The sub ill probably get is either the Pioneer TSW306C x 2 or the 306CBox Dual depending on peoples input.
cheers

get them sub by it self, and make a custom box. each sub will need 2.2cu.ft. and tune the box to 35Hz.

as to what will give the best sound, you will have to experiment.

tell us what kind of car its in, and we can give you a rough idea

maybe a mod can move this to begineers or general, its not realy an sq question.

Yep, not really SQ. More like box or I.B.?

As said, the design of the car's boot is in question... Will you have any leakage that may cause cancellation? Type of sub to be used also has to be considered.

A custom box is easily the best way to go about getting a good sound.

I'll leave the rest to the experts...
