April Auto Show

When: Sunday 1st April

Where: Les Clark Oval, Cooee (same location as last year)

Times: 10.00am - 3.00pm

Cost: Free to display vehicle, $5 per person to look

It will also host the Burnie round of the TASASCA
- http://www.tasasca.com/Burnie_Details.htm + map for anyone from out of town

I've been told its much like USA Day, a great variety of cars and club displays and a top ten trophy opportunity as well.

Thought it mite be a good excuse to meet up with a few of the other members from around Tas, even if you don't want to compete there should be plenty of people to chat to and cars to look at!

If anyone has any more info, please post away! :)

**Will be a good chance to recruit new members, so spread the word on the day! should be a few newbies watchin on at the audio comps that will want to join up!**

Just don't get caught I guess, TASASCA & CAA don't mix.

I'll print them if you want to hand them out :)

Im easy... i did post an event promoting TASASCA on CAA. lol

Jkn.. Just want what is best for car audio... promote the event in the hope that we can encourage growth within the local user group by meeting up and potentially gaining new members.

And being a newbie, from what I have read here, id much rather support a CAASQ program if I am ever going to compete.

well only 11 more sleeps everyone! :P

EDIT: Do we have a regional organiser here? to talk to about promoting/organsing future events and the forums here?

I was State rep for CAA for a few years, but due to the whole competition b/s from TASASCA I am going to wait for CAASQ to be launched before i enter... I dont really like entering competitions, where mates are judging their own mates cars,

But I might be heading up to enter in show and shine, might get some downundertruckin.com guys to come up also, sunday is a bit of a bugger as most ppl under 25 will be nursing a hangover :violin:

I was nominated to be state rep, and have been given a job or two to do, but I didn't officially take the position because A) i'm on the north west coast, where naturally there aren't as many people/companies and as much money flowing, and B) because I don't have enough time or money to travel very much, this is just within the state, interstate is totally out of the question. I just don't make enough money :P

There are, however, more than enough people with a keen interest here to make it worthwhile having meetup and some small events/testing and tuning/etc. on a regular basis and maybe build from there, IF we can get the word out.

I can probably provide a location at work if necessary, but there are plenty of other places to meet up (that are far away from residential areas :P).

I'm a bit more SPL biased, but initially, maybe I could get a dbm-2 just for some tuning and friendly head to head competition.
It'd be good to get a few bucks thrown in to offset the cost.
If people want to get more serious, we could hire a TermLab for a night.

My bro would be in this for sure, i'm guessing Fluffy_Llama too, several of our mutual friends maybe, it's a good start.
No 'fully-sik-homies' allowed! :) :) :) (J/K)

I'm not pretending to have all the answers, and i'm only a beginner, but i'm sick of there being silence for 3/4 of the year, particularly when I haven't quite got all my gear yet (I have my name stamped on a Z1a), so i'm going to have to wait till January '08 till I can have some fun.

I know this is going to cause some tension, but I don't want to try and put down the TASASCA guys, remove them from the picture, compete against them for attention, etc. etc.
I just want some more fun.

Oh yeah, what's the deal with utilities in the TASASCA comps?
Will they let me enter the Mighty Boy? :P

Appreciate the posts. Was just curious as to see if there was someone organising things and to show we are serious if they wanted to have a few meets etc.

Ill have to get some more great advice from 'destruktor this Sunday as to how to approach the sedan. Got a few ideas, but i'm a total n00b. lol

Plan on ordering a few bits for it, inc. sound!!! over the coming month or so, hopefully I wont have a complete stock audio setup and im more that willing to come along to any meets.. more so for the 'meet n greet' side of things.

Another place is after hours at the new harvey norman carpark... I know there are meets there every 2nd friday. But we could also organise somthing similar with the owner once month/quarterly for all the nw members.

I'm sure there are a few people around who would be keen to get into it but not sure what to buy etc or just need some healthy competition to push their setups further...

Well, anyways.. I will be present Sunday, along with 'destrucktor and a few mates. So hopefully see a few members there.
