i have read through alot of threads on MEA and i find that everyone says there are no need for rear speakers... so when i installed my system i totally left them out... its sounds great from where im sitting... i love it, but my back seat passengers beg to differ. saying that all they can hear is the sub.

wat do you think?

cheers,

orry :good:

Tell them to go and get their own car :P

When I was tuning the amps in my wagon, I could clearly hear the front speakers fine, they were clear and defined, even when I was at the other end of the car. That said, I still have rear speakers anyway, not really for their benefit, but when I'm looking over my shoulder I can hear the music from the speakers (helps that the seat is so far back that I can hear the speakers anyway).

That said, I guess it depends how much you care about their enjoyment and freeloading whilst you are driving

so sound deaden? wat about amping the splits?... but the levels are still fine from the front? why cant the people in the back hear them? i also have massive holes where 6x9s should be and you can see into the boot.... pretty ghetto :P... its conveniently at the back of the passengers heads lol... that may explain why they cant hear the splits? or the fact that my back seat is tissue thin lol

Rears drag your stage depth back. Depth is one of the hardest things to acheive whist retaining good width and height... Sure is giving me hell, so rears just make it worse, thats why most people CBF using them.
Plus the good old rear passenger care factor=0
Over-engineering is FUN

See this is why Snoop needs to come to aus, so he can remind us to keep our 'pimp hand' strong.
Comes in handy when the f-wit in the back says, "dude put some 6x9s in the back and this thing'll go off"

I use them, they add ambience

They have not affected my front stage depth at all. Midbass only , set at very low volume.
I'm not a complete idiot - some parts are missing

I miss this thing dearly :-(

If the people in the back seat complain put a collection box on the back of the console. When you got enough money out of them hook up the factory speakers for them. LOL

Rear speakers. They can make the sound room larger if set up right. Beyound that, if you can hear them from the front seat they ae too loud.

Cheers

meh just put your stock ones back in for the passengers and be done with it, not worth spending money for their benefit.

Also fade them out when they are not in the car.
