I would spend $500-$700 on a better quality amp.
edit: but if your dead set on jaycar amps... I would wait till the new line of jaycar amps which are coming out soon.

As a basic insight into how they do this is they continually turn off and on faster than you can notice, this is what causes the higher distortion and the fact they are more efficient.
Class A/B circuitry is more accurate and more aimed towards SQ, it is the balance between having power and efficiency compared to its older "half brother" Class A (Class A amps are the benchmark for SQ but they are extremely inefficient and cannot make very much power due to circuit and component restrictions).
At the end of the day, if you want power for your speakers at an affordable price, buy Class D amps, but if you are out for SQ with some volume behind it a good Class A/B is what you are after. Some Class D amps have quite a nice sound still even when compared to a Class A/B, so it's best to get out and have a listen

The Jaycar amps are both Analogue. The 'Digital' tag is false, and an advertising gimmick.

Its all about the music. Always has been, always will be. Im here for the music.

In a controlled environment yes - such as Richard Clarkes test. In practice a difference is definitely audible, this is possibly to do with pre amps as one variable!? But I for a fact have definitely heard a difference in the environment of my car

Im really interested in how the new line will perform. Anyone who gets one has to give a review straight away. Well after you have heard and played with it for a while that is
