need a bit of help deciding how im going to go about my next setup.

everythings going into a my06 STI, priorities for me are SQ first and foremost, but also very loud, with a strong midbass kick. also, its going to be a bit of a show car, so symetry in the boot is a must.

parts i have are 2 x treo enginerring 2 x 250 rms@ 4ohm, 1 x 1000 rms @ 4 ohm
a OZ ME 12. dual 2 ohm
and i put a deposit on a set of dynaudio 362's

and i have a headunit that will do the job for the time being until im happy with everything else.

at first, my plan was to use on of the treo amps to run the sub, and the other to run the dyns passive. now im thinking i might run the dyns semi active. using one of the treo amps for each side. one channel running the midbass active and the other running the mid and tweeter passive ( someone correct me if i've misunderstood what semi active is) this way i would have plenty of power for the dyns. by all reports i've read, dyns love loads of power which is why i want to run it this way.

now i need an amp to run the sub, for the time being im only going to run a single sub, but i want an amp that i dont have to sell if i decide to go to to a twin sub setup and want twice the power. looking for around 7- 800 wrms @4 ohm and roughly 1500wrms @2 ohm, any suggestions?
on the fhrx website for 'what system can i get get for x dollars' it mentions a tru tech c7 for bass duties? anyone seen that done before?

for a sub amp if you want loud and SQ i would look at something like a JL 1000/1.....from all reports its a great amp and very flexible too
No car, no system, no idea

jl 1000/1 is good and have thought about this, decided it was never going to fit in the boot without looking out of place cus its completely unsymetrical.
just had a look at a hertz hp1kd. its at the far end of my budget to give an idea, a bit worried about the damping factor. it claimed 100, i dont know what impedance that was though.
from reading other threads, damping factor is the most overrated spec, but if its 100 at 4ohm, that would mean 50 @ 2ohm? which would start to become an issue, wouldnt it?

I'd be looking at an Audison or Earthquake amplifier, both are very effecient Earthquake has alot more guts but Audison has the quality

I'd drop Marty at FHRX an email or telephone call and ask him about the Hertz HP1KD. This is an excellent amp which I seriously doubt you would be disappointed with.
