We had a meeting with all Amateur competitors before the show and the decision made by the competitors was to let Riley finish his season in Amateur as he has only just started a traineeship in the industry and has not gained any benefit.

Next season is a different story :D

I don't see how its fair, where someone with close to $10k worth of gear and a full custom boot install can enter the novice class which was probably tuned by the place where he got it all installed, I really don't.

I belive your talking about the 180sx? He doesn't work in the industry and was competing for the first time.

For those that didnt realise, if you win Novice you are automaticly moved up to Amateur the next round.

Riley that I was talking about owns a Carolla with 3-4k worth of gear at most.

Big thanks to the judges, organisers and other competitors and anyone else who has been a part of the QLD section of CAASQ throughout the season. As far as i know only Luke and myself are going down to Wagga to compete so hopefully we can get our cars sounding even better. Cant wait to start next season with new challenges and hopefully a few new faces.

Was a good way to finish the season, I think I'm making some good steps forward with the revised Install, I've just got to tune it all properly now. A BIG CONGRATS to Riley, 121 is a huge score I'll have to drop in one arvo and have a listen, and another BIG THANKYOU to Winno, for showing me the basics of Judgeing I look forward to possibly getting more opportunities to do it in the future.

And of course a HUGE THANKS to DAN and everyone else who helps to run these events throughout the year!!!

The cost of quipment doesnt mean it's gonna sound great or terrible, for example up until this comp Riley had been running a set of $200-$250 splits and he consistently used to score within 1-2 points of me and my splits cost $1500 retail, and now he has blown my seasons PB of 115 out of the water with a 121 using a set of reasonably priced type X splits and sub.

Congrats Riley, looks like an awesome score, not much left to improve, at least in AM now, but looks like a good start for Pro next year.
