Oz Audio ME [Matrix] :)

$1000 is plenty, and is pretty much as high as you would want to spend.

1000 for each component or 1000 in total? Are you taking into account materials for the box? Are you DIY or having a professional do it?

Just make sure the box is sealed, after hearing a few systems sealed there is no going back to ported for someone who loves there dance music ;)

Hmm I forgot about that, ok with the exception of yours then! haha

Well I am yet to find a system tuned to the point of yours Matt, thats maybe why most other systems I have heard don't sound to flash ported (including mine) compared to sealed?

Not so sure, anywho my vote would be for an ID Max, hopefully getting my room mate to buy one in the following week :)

I`m running the SPG555 and am impressed with the SQ aspect of the sub and sounds even better when cranked albeit in a large wagon. :clapping:

Hello,

I am using a DD9512, and I prefer the sound of a sealed box compared to my Ported box for house/dance music. Ported just doesn't sound good.

If you like rap etc etc ( low end bass ) DD is a great VERY high output sub, but for dance house ( my personal music preference ) I am disappointed and am looking forward to trying a sealed or a Wicked One ( see the tutorials section for that topic )

This is my personal opinion about this topic, and how it sounds in my car.

Hope it helps :)

Bah DD is great for almost anything.

If you listen to dance music and techno built a huge ported box tune it to 45HZ and way you go.

Techno is not really recorded lower than 40Hz anyway and with the DD woofers motor structure they will play below their tuning frequency.

So there you go DD Phil will love you for it.

IMO, I would go either Boston g5, Idmax or Oz audio Matrix, Ive heard all three and are great for dance, trance, and if your into hardstyle, great for extra low long basslines. Punchy when needed, and can also get low.
