Hey guys, the WRX is going (for real this time). next weekend im picking up the replacement... a VT GTS 300kw.
what are some improvements i can do to the stock eurovox permium sound to make it sound better while not drilling any holes, or modifying anything as i dont want to hurt the resale value of it in years to come.
This car ISNT an audio car and i dont want it to be, I just would like it to sound better then factory and look just the way it did when it rolled of the HSV production line.

i believe you can get the headunit modded to give it RCA outputs, install speakers in stock locations etc

Are you willing to change the headunit ? I cant see how changing the headunit will require any new holes etc.

If you can change the headunit then the rest can be pretty cool. Speakers in stock locations, sub and amp in the boot velcroed (you will be amazing how much it can hold).

Anyway, i think you could get a very decent system, will still keeping the car stock

thanks for the suggestion but it is the complete opposite of what i had imagined, ie the car must remain completely stock visually and the mods im making should be completely hidden.

i'll take the sound deadening and covering of service holes into consideration and i like the idea of "modding" the headunit to accept RCAs. Does anyone know who can do this or am i limited to an aftermarket line adapter such as the rockford 3sixty etc...

also, does anyone know the location of the factory premium sound amplifier(s) and info on the power outputs?

I think the factory amp is located behind the trim on the left side of the boot.
Output would be about 30w tops. For confirmation you might find more info here

I have just found out the car im picking up on friday already has an aftermarket system in it (headunit/ amp/ speakers). So now i might as well change to a decent headunit, and purchase a stock Eurovox Maestro system for if i decide to sell the car in the future.
Does anyone know how much room there is for decent 8's in the parcel shelf?

The Calais and upper range come stock with 8's in the parcel shelf. Find the brackets / mounting rings from a wrecker & your good to go.

as did the GTS which was pretty much based on the calais... i just need to find out if the idiot who changed stereo removed the parcel shelf subs and brackets.
