Well, being close as i am to Green Valley (about 15 mins away) I figured I'd probably be the first one back - but I decided I'd wait for someone else to post.

Since no one has yet, it looks like I'll be the first after all.

First roung of thanks (as always) goes out to everyone involved in running the event - Marty and crew, the Autobarn crew, judges, and all of the others who made the event possible. The extent of effort put in by these people isn't always seen, but I can assure you it is much appreciated.

A special thanks also for the judges - it's been a controversial area in some of the state's ealier events, but this time around I had a listen to a couple of the cars after they were judged, and to my ears all of the judgments looked exactly how I would have scored them (except for mine, which I'd have probably given 6's all around :P).

Before I went to bed last night, I abandoned my attemps at last minute fibreglassing work, and with little else to do I pulled everything out of my car and decided I wouldn't compete.

At 8am I woke up again, and some strange state of motivation came over me and I decided right then and there that not only would I come to the event on time, but I would do whatever I had to do get the car in some form of competiytive state. What I didn't expect was for it to come out as well as it did. With such a ghetto job I wouldn't have been surprised with a last place, especially given how good the other cars were. To finish second in my first Pro Street event a major surprise and a result that definately helped to make all of the hard work well worth it.

Speaking of the competiution....

Rick: Congrats for taking first place in Am Str. You know I'll gladly write a page long of bad points given the chance, but with yours I was quite honestly left with very little to criticise. The car sounded truly impressive, and I've no doubts that the placing was well deserved. One of those cars that you'd listen to just because it's enjoyable - which at the end of the day is the real aim.

Jono: I didn't get a chance to hear your car this time around, but I know what you are capable of and being only one point behind Rick I can well imagine you car would have been similarly briliant. Congrats on the second place :)

Nath: Smartassiness aside, your car is getting better every time I hear it and today showed big improvements over the past. A couple of little flaws here and there hurt the scoresheet, but overall the system sounded better then the outright ranking suggests. Keep it up.

It seems the judging has gotten a little stricter with each passing event, and I think this has a lot to do with why the cars have all improved at such an impressive rate. The end result is that NSW are improving dramatically as a group, and look to be in a position to really apply some pressure at Wagga.

Good work guys :)

Another fantastic day!, weather was awesome, we had shade all day during judging, and we had a great turnout with almost all of the top ten attending Am Street.

Thankyou very much to Autobarn Green Valley for hosting the event, the free maccas lunches and for supporting CAASQ.

Huge thanks go out to Marty and the judges, Hakki and Paul, for running another smooth event and giving up thier valuable time to keep this series running so successfully in NSW.

Big thanks to Shane, from Aerpro, for getting there nice and early and insuring the best spots were kept available for the competitors and for donating some trophies and merchandise for the event (and a Bourbon to me! thanks bud!).

Congrats to Rick and Jono for their one / two finish against some tough competition, and to Jono for securing the State Amateur Street title, both cars sounded incredible, and really are a testament to how good the cars are becoming here is NSW.

Huge congratulations to Muzzy (Pete) for the most incredible motivation to do a complete temp ghetto install, during[i] the comp, with blu-tac and masking tape, tune it all in like 1 hour, and score second place in Pro Street!! Absolutely awesome muzzy and well deserved I hear, I'm sorry I didnt get over to hear it, Rick said it sounded amazing considering!! Good work, I can only imagine what it will sound like with proper enclosures and tuning.

For all you out there wondering, heres a few pics I took of muzzys kick panel midbass pods...

All in all a fantastic day, and a great finish to a very successful NSW CAASQ season.
Thanks again to all involved in making NSW a force to be reckoned with.

The thanks have already been covered, so I'll add a 'ditto' and not bulk out my post with text.

Because you're all after the picsors. (nice to see everyone had a clean, or at least presentable car).

I would like to Thank Hakki and Paul for their wonderful feedback and willingness to rejudge My car,

There has been some Speculation that I tweaked my setting, But I did not.

The ONLY Setting that was changed was my Sub Level from +12 to +13 and to prove a point,

Paul and Hakki, The harshness returned on the way home back from Mark's Place

Pete: Thanks for spending some time with my car and getting it sounding alot better, You may write some long ass f***ing posts, but you do indeed know your Car Audio, with your help, I wouldn't have beaten Joel by a Single Point!

Marty and the Crew aswell as shane and the Autobarn Boys.

Thanks for Hosting the Event and getting us Free Maccas (even tho I ended up paying for mine......)

(as the forum keeps saying, I've posted to many :rocket:)

Oh as for results.

I ended up with a very close 4th.

Tied with wh33lz on 108 points each, the count back didn't help, as we're even on each of the sections as well. Marty awarded 4th to me, due to a 1-point better 'overall linearity' score. Well done Mark, as always a tough competitor.

But I'm happy after bombing out at round 6.

Thanks guys. :good:

Also a big thank you to all the organisers - Regulars like Marty and the judges, Shane for the Aerpro gear, and Autobarn for hosting and putting up the free Maccas. :D :D

Congrats to Pete aswell for the great finish in Pro Street. An awesome 2-3 hour effort with 6 packs of Bluetack and a few rolls of 2" tape to get those secksy Scan mids and tweets in. It absolutely blew me away considering the 'quality' of the install :P Obviously midbass was lacking, but it still sounded great overall, especially the tweets. I cannot wait until this is installed properly because its going to be insane.

Better make that 5th mate, I got you by 1 point! I'm pretty stoked with the result for my first year competing and considering the quality of systems all the AMST guys run.

I still have a lot of tuning to do if I'm going to get anywhere near Rick and Jono at Wagga, but I have to say the NSW boys are looking very strong going into the Nationals.

Great day guys, thanks to Green Valley Auto Bahn for having us, to Shane, Marty , Hakki and Paul as well, you guys make this happen and we appriate your help.
Judging was harder then previous rounds, but was appriated by all going to Wagga so we can turn some negatives into prositives!
Congratulations to Muzzy, with only a few hours tuning and getto install he's system certainly stepped up to Pro Street level, with 2 weeks of tuning before Wagga im sure he'll give everyone a go for there Money.
Finally thanks to all the competitors and Judges for a fantastic season.
