Anyone used any GPS trackers. Standalone units I'm talking about.

 

Basically we have some non-powered items we use for transporting steel - occasionally (seemingly increasingly) these are going missing and at a few hundred $ ea in material and fabrication time its wearing thing.

 

So we're looking for a way to track their location using GPS technology if possible - something self contained with no external power source required and with a long (1 month +) battery life.

 

Does anyone know of such devices?

Guys I'm on holidays and I'm in palm cove/ cairns today and tomorrow.
Basically I'm looking for a garage or drive way to borrow. I picked up bad fuel up cape York and I need somewhere (and hopefully a filter wrench) to change my fuel filter

Also a welder would be helpful as I dropped my tie rod and stripped the thread twice this trip - once out the front of bramwell station and once just west of bramwell. I'm running toe out at the moment and I'd really like to adjust to toe in and weld it fixed to get me home

Was planning on heading to mt isa and heading south via birdsville track and coming home from SA. But unless I can find some where to weld this tie rod by tomorrow arvo then I won't be doing that as I can't trust it on the corrigations. Believe me when I tell you that loosing 90% of your steering and breaking abilities on a corrugated road at 90-110 kph when your tie rod drops off isnot for the faint hearted...

Any way just thought I'd ask just in case

So I find myself at the Medina in FV Brisvegas. But I'm without a car till Monday. So wheres the best pizza in town for dinner tonight?
And what should I do tomorrow in brisneyland?

Guys any suggestions as to what to do next?
We should probably aim to try do something together mid-late october.

Since you lot are about as useful as a bunch of grave robbers in a crematorium I’ve decided to suggest a time date and a couple of possible venues to go go-karting.
Now I’m not doing this because I like you lot – the reality is I think you’re a bunch of queers. But I like to go go-karting and you lot are as good of a bunch as any to go with – plus being that most of you have vaginas I shouldn’t have too much issue kicking your arses.

I'm not looking into group packages - past experiance tells me you lot couldn't commit

Personally I’m willing to spend <$60 so thats 20 minutes at lemans. I think any more than that and its getting a bit too exy especially for couples and if you add in food & drinks etc on top of that.

At LeMans we can have a BBQ and they also have laser tag and a few other activities as well as a kid friendly track and simulators

Tracks open at 10AM so a 10AM start would get us in before “crowds” - also suits if we end up doing a "race" (read futher in the thread for details)
