Amp power for esotar 650

12 April 2011 - 10:02 PM

Hi, I've got a mcintosh mc440 amp that I'm thinking of fixing in my car. Very nice amp but i'm worried that it may underpower the drivers. I got morel piccolo tweeters. Now, for midbass and 1 sub, I'm thinking about getting the esotar 650 and morel ultimo10 but am not sure if the drivers will be underpowered. I'm running them all active and require advice if this amp is really usable with these drivers. This amp is rated 4x50w and 2x100w. I would have to run a 2x50w for tweeters and another 2x50w for the midbass and bridge the 2x100w for the sub. Is it feasible? Thanks.

Hi everyone,
am new to this forum. Am new to car audio as I just got my 1st car a year back. Am yet to start doing up my car audio. Its a 1300 beetle. I was at diyma for a few months and just found this forum yesterday. I've got some knowledge on audio but not much on car audio so looking forward to getting to know more from here and sharing my ideas.
